My grips are made by hand from start to finish. I strive not to duplicate the originals as such but create my take on what looks, and FEELS good. I like to use woods that will make your pistol stand out. I do not checker, it detracts from the wood and you do not want to pay for that time. The major pressure / grip areas on a handgun are the front and back straps not the grips and checkering does little to aid your grip. If you must have checkering buy G10 combat grips. If grips do not feel good in your hand you will not want to use that gun, and I want my grips to be used. All my grips are checked for fit on a pistol of the type they are to fit. I currently make grips for Star Bm’s, Star PD’s, Star Firestar’s-9mm/.40 cal and .45 cal models, Star S .380, 1911’s, Ruger Blackhawk New models and Wranglers and Rock Island Baby Rock .380’s with other models to come. My 1911 grips, Full size and Officer’s, do not cover the safety tube on the left side as I have found that it interferes with many of the enlarged safeties. I also don’t cut the right grip for the older “wing” style ambi safeties as a rule but it can be done by special request. Please know that Spanish pistols are famous for small differences in things such as grip screw hole locations, safety sizes, etc. from model year to model year and may affect fit on your pistol and may require minor fitting to your gun. Ruger single actions also have minor difference in grip frame to main frame dimensions due to the manufacturing process that also may require minor fitting. If it is more than a minor adjustment please let me know and I will do my best to resolve it. If I would not mount them on my own handgun I will NOT sell it to you for yours.
