These grips are made from Spalted Silver Maple that was harvested on a friends property in Alabama. He is a fellow wood worker of larger projects and kindly sends me some of his more interesting cutoff’s which is how I came to obtain this spectacular wood. You can stare at these for an hour, stop and come back a day later and see something new. The colors and patterns in this wood are as beautiful as anything Mother Nature has ever made and will definitely add some class to your pistol. These are definitely One of A Kind! As with everything I make these are handmade start to finish. These will fit any Colt / clone 1911 Full Size or Commander frame.
These are grips for a Star Firestar M45 .45 caliber pistol. They are made of Black Walnut and are hand made from start to finish. They have a satin finish. I have made them with slightly generous tolerances to try and make sure that they will fit your pistol as Spanish pistols are famous for ever so small differences in things like screw hole locations, magazine release size etc. They have been tested on my personal Firestar for function with the magazine in place. They are not shaped the same as stock grips, I have made them to better fill your hand and make it easier to hit the magazine release.
